CALL TO ACTION: Restaurant Chains
Okay, everyone. We're mobilizing. Here's an easy way for you to help promote our cause, and help to show restaurant chains that we need them to take a brave stand against the gun lobby.
Take a few moments today to go to the Facebook pages (and MySpace pages, and web sites) of various chain restaurants that operate in your community. Join their fans. Then, write on their wall and tell them you don't want guns. Post links to the web site (http://www.gunsandalcoholdontmix.org) when possible.
We need to show them that although almost no one is afraid of gun violence in a Red Lobster, they operate in Tennessee under the same laws as roughneck roadhouses where gunplay might very well erupt.
Ask them to please take a corporate stance banning firearms in their establishments statewide and nationwide! We have to get the corporate chains on our side.
Do the same for smaller independent restaurants too! But let's concentrate in numbers on the chains that serve alcohol and have strong presences in Tennessee: Applebee's, O'Charley's, Logan's, TGI Friday, Ruby Tuesday, J. Alexander, etc.
Let's also keep the Facebook group growing, and make sure to post links to this site there too!
