Guns and Alcohol Issue Reaches Many

The issue of allowing guns to be carried into establishments that serve alcohol is being widely debated all over the world. Today, the BBC published an article discussing the varying opinions of this hot debate. While many feel their right as an American citizen is to carry their weapon with them wherever they go, many feel this is ultimately an issue of public safety.

As restauranteur Randy Rayburn told the BBC, "I'm a gun owner, I have a gun at my home, but I keep it there, not at a public place where many people's lives can be threatened." Today, Rayburn filed suit against the state of Tennessee, pursuing temporary injunction of the law. If successful, the suit will stop the law from going into effect tomorrow, July 14, 2009.
